THE MALDIVES is just as you imagine it - one of the last paradises on Earth. Small, tiny, delicate islands that pepper the massive Indian Ocean. However, what you see above is only half the beauty. The true beauty of the Maldives lies deep within the Lacadive Sea.
We will be staying on a small local Island called Rasdhoo. The locals welcome us to their home Island with open hearts. It is so tiny that you can walk its length and breadth. The accommodation is in 3-star hotels. There are basic clean facilities – hot water, air conditioning and a comfortable bed.
It is far away from the typical luxurious Maldives. Instead, here, there are the other forgotten luxuries like fresh air, the sound of traffic replaced by the din of the winds, untouched beauty and a gadget-free existence! Learn how to have fun without alcohol on this alcohol-free Island.
We will be practicing Yogasanas, Breathing techniques, Suryanamaskars, and Stretching and Relaxation techniques to help you recharge and rejuvenate during your holiday. The yoga sessions are for all levels, no prior experience is required. Not only will you be able to enjoy and experience starting your day in a positive way, but you will also be able to take away simple techniques to integrate into your own routine back home.
Spectacular marine life, vibrant reefs, warm waters and big fish encounters make Rasdhoo atoll a destination not to be missed. The atoll has a total of 17 dive sites – all unique in their own special way. The sites are frequently visited by Manta Rays, Sting Rays, Eagle Rays, Whale Sharks, Hammer heads, White Tips, Grey Reef Sharks, not to mention the other many reef fish, turtles and crustaceans that make this island their home. The sharks, Nemos, and Dorys are all waiting to see you.
Mindfulness is a way of living life more consciously. Living in a state of mindfulness is to accept life's invitation to be more awake to every moment, and to connect more authentically with yourself and others. As Thich Nhat Hahn shares, “Many people are alive but don't touch the miracle of being alive.” Look forward to learning some basic meditation and practical methods that you can apply in your daily life. Spend the evening discovering your heart space, your inner sanctuary and your connection with the world around.

“Choosing to travel with simply breathe to a cosy little island in Maldives and soaking 0ourselves in 6 days of yoga, mindfulness and diving was one of the best decisions I've ever made. An experience that I will not forget for years to come. Michelle, Karan and Bhushan played excellent hosts and ensured that we had a great time. The beach cleanup activity was an eye opener in a lot of ways and inspired us to think of how to reduce waste and usage of plastic. The bottle and the steel straw will be a gift that I cherish forever. Thank you for starting this venture so we could get an opportunity to learn so many new things"Simply Breathe" starting with the name itself has had a huge impact. I had always wished for an experience where I can relax, learn, think, internalize, explore, face fears, do nothing, dance, meet new people and listen to their life stories, have fun and just be myself. This is exactly what I got from this trip. I cannot express how this trip has changed my life in so many ways in mere words. I can say I've conquered my fear of the vast oceans to a great extent cos I now have a glimpse of how gorgeous it is underwater! My instructor was great, super supportive and most of all made me believe in myself that I'm good and I can do this. Right from early morning yoga sessions to diving and then those soothing mindfulness sessions ending with absolutely amazing late night conversations and fun. Every aspect of this trip was mind blowing in it's own unique way. The beach clean up drive was one of the highlights of this trip because I've always promoted cleanliness and am this annoying anti-littering thing. Here I learned more, more about minimalism and how simple changes can make a huge difference. Not to forget the New Year's party on the sand bank, surrounded by calm waters beautifully lit up by the super moon that night, being mesmerized by bioluminescent planktons, music, dance, with amazing people and a whole lot of love - by far the best new years I've ever had! This trip has been and will always be very close to my heart. Thank you Bhushan, Michelle and Karan for giving me these wonderful memories for a lifetime - You guys are incredibly amazing! I'm glad to have been a part of this Adventure 1.0 and will be there for many more to come because looks like "Simply Breathe" has become a way of life! Cheers!”
“Simply Breathe is an experience that definitely lives up to its name. The trip combines 3 beautiful practices that all quite simply, require you to breathe, Diving, Yoga and Mindfulness. The trip was painstakingly planned by the 3 organisers Karan, Michelle and Bhushan. Since it we were the first trip (Adventure 1.0 as they call it) they were a few kinks, but there was never a time when one of them didn't rush to immediately sort things out for us and make sure we had the best time. The highlights for me personally were the mindfulness sessions. Just to cut off from the chaos of the world and look within was the most elevating experience I've had in a very long time. Michelle conducted the mindfulness sessions beautifully, and I can't thank her enough for introducing me to this practice. The Yoga sessions were much too early for my liking but I managed to make it to a couple of them all the same. I'm glad I did. Having got a taste of it from our instructor Sunieta, I'm now considering making it a daily practice! The diving was of course another highlight. Let's just say the Maldives 'delivered' in that respect, as always. Sharks, Eagle Rays, Manta Rays, Turtles, Octopus, Eels (ewwgh), A THRESHER SHARK (in caps because its a big deal), etc etc. The marine life was plentiful and we were guided by the most able and fun dive crew from the Dive Rashdoo dive shop run by the superstar dive instructor Mahey Mahuttey! All in all, I'm super glad that I got to spend my new years among a group of like minded people who are now friends for life. I couldn't have asked for a better beginning to the year than just 'Simply Breathing'. :)”

“Having Dived a lot, my idea of a dive trip and the ocean has completely changed after this trip. When we come back from a trip we usually come back with loads of memories but with this trip I've come back with a lot more. This trip has shown me the importance of protecting an eco- system that we've been destroying for decades. The talks and the mindfulness sessions have given me a whole new perspective to life and generally myself. I am greatful to the team for giving me an experience such as this. I don't think I'll ever just go for a dive trip anymore. I'm a simply breather now!!”
